E. Douglass Coady, 82, of St. Joseph died Friday, March 05, 2010, at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Family services will be held at a later date and cremation has taken place. Arrangements are by the Dey-Florin Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to the Stevensville American Legion Post. Doug was born on March 30, 1927 in New York City to Edward and Harriett Coady. He is a veteran of the Air Corp of US Army during WW II and a member of the Stevensville American Legion. Doug graduated from Hillsdale College with a degree in English. He was a copywriter with Siebert/Mathieu Advertising Agency for many years before retiring in 1984. Doug was an excellent chef and loved Chinese food. He also loved tinkering with anything mechanical and especially with cars. He also had abiding interest in any printed matter. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy; his two daughters, Carol and Diane; and his best friend, David Sessions of Stevensville.
