Ann Flesher Dwan

Ann (Flesher) Dwan, 85, of St. Joseph died peacefully Sunday, December 21, 2014, at her residence. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, Dec 27, at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11 AM to 12:30 PM at the Dey-Florin Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in St. Joseph. Ann was born on Feb 28, 1929 in Detroit to Gorman and Kathleen Flesher. She married her husband, Gerald Dwan, in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 2008. Together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. Ann was a homemaker and loved all the things that it encompassed. She also enjoyed going to Las Vegas and watching movies. She was a gifted artist and drew many portraits of her family and friends. Ann was also a wonderful cook and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Wallace of St. Joseph, Daniel (Kathy) Dwan of Goodyear, AZ, Sharon Dwan of Kalamazoo, Elizabeth Dwan of Las Vegas, NV, Margaret (Tim) Bury of St. Joseph, and Jeanne (David) Williams of Chicago; her brother, Donald Flesher of West Palm Beach, FL; her sister, Diane (Larry) Delach of Kalamazoo; her 16 grandchildren and her 21 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gerald Flesher, and her sister, Jean Isabell.
