Ellsworth John Williams, 80, of St. Joseph, passed away early Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at The Willows in Royalton Township. A committal service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 21 at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dey-Florin Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.florin.net. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Ellsworth was born on January 22, 1932 in Beech Grove, Arkansas to Roy and Mamie Williams. He married Betty Finley in Osceola, Arkansas on December 29, 1951 and has lived in the area since 1952. Ellsworth worked at Auto Specialties until retirement in 1980 following 28 years of service. He enjoyed ‘tinkering’ with cars and tractors. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ellsworth is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Bill) Johnson of Benton Harbor; grandchildren, Karen Johnson of Benton Harbor and John Hubbard of Hartford; great-granddaughter, Amber (Michael) Becker of Bremerton, WA; great-great-granddaughter, Emelia Becker of Bremerton, WA; brothers, Charles (Judy) Williams of Jackson, MO., Joseph (Karen) Williams, Darrell (Phyllis) Williams and Mickey (Jeannie) Williams, of Sikeston, MO; and by his sister Letty Bradshaw of Chaffee, MO. In addition to his parents, Ellsworth was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 1998; his son, Larry Decker; by his brothers Delbert Williams, Dwight Williams, Ed Williams; and by his sisters, Patsy Bradshaw, Imogene Clark, Marie Decker, and Judy Carolyn Williams.
