George G Daday Sr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

George G Daday, Sr., 90, of Watervliet, died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Willows in Royalton Township. Services celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. on Saturday at the Fairplain Chapel. Cremation has taken place and burial of the ashes will be at a later date on the family lot at Riverview Cemetery. George was born on April 18, 1930 in Benton Harbor to George and Alice Daday. He married his wife Betty Emde in 1950 and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage before she preceded him in death in 1998. George retired from Whirlpool after 30 years of employment and he also worked part time at Sears in appliance sales. George was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was very athletic, enjoying bowling, golf, walking, and riding his bicycle. He was a very loving and caring family man who provided for his children. His family includes his children George Daday, Jr. of Benton Harbor, Robert Daday of Sparta, Tennessee, and Georgia Bonebright of Benton Harbor, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his caregiver and great-niece, Starla Swetay of Watervliet and his many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by daughters Arlene Dull, Deborah Creamer Bush, Kathryn Sisk, Jean McDonald, and Janet Lindberg and son Stephen Daday.
