On July 22, 2014, Judy Lynne Pipkins, 48, of Benton Harbor, was called home to be an angel in heaven. She was born July 19, 1966 to Luvern and Marie Pipkins. Judy was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, love-of-life, and friend and loved to be home relaxing with her family and watching Life Time Movie Network. Judy spent all the time she could with her children, grandchildren, lifetime partner Robbie, and her whole family. She made each and every one of us a better person for knowing her. Funeral services for Judy will be on Saturday, July 26 at 2:00 PM at the Red Arrow General Baptist Church, 3176 Red Arrow Highway, Benton Harbor, with Pastor Richard Kiser officiating. Burial will follow at Millburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Judy Pipkins Memorial Fund at Fifth Third Bank. Judy is survived by two daughters, Kelly (Derek) Lancaster and Joni Black, both of Benton Harbor; two grandchildren, Darrell and Veronica Hicks; brother, Frank Pipkins; four sisters, Jean (Mike) Closson, Kathy (Ron) DeBusk, and Linda (George) Varvel, all of Benton Harbor, and Peggy (Johnny) Costner of Covert; special lifetime partner, Robbie Trudell; ex-husband, Jerry Black; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Marie Roetzel on Dec. 11, 2013; father, Luvern Pipkins on Nov. 9, 1968; two nephews and one great-nephew.
