Lilly Mae Lents, 80, of Benton Harbor died Monday, December 19, 2011 at her home. Services celebrating her life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 23 at the First General Baptist Church, 2913 Yore Ave., in Benton Harbor with Rev. James Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Crystal Springs Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made to the First General Baptist Church. Please leave messages, memories or photos at www.florin.net. Lilly was born on March 4, 1931 in Benton Harbor to William and Ruby Fineout. She married her husband, Leon Lents, on December 6, 1952 in Benton Harbor and together they celebrated 59 years of marriage. She was employed at Michigan Fruit Canners for 13 years and at Rudy’s Bldg. Maintenance for 7 years. Lilly enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, sewing and puzzles. Lilly was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was always involved with her family. She is survived by her husband, Leon “Shorty” Lents, her son, Glyndle (Brenda) Lents, of Berrien Springs, her sister, Mary (Willard) Wheeler of Hagar Shore; her 3 grandchildren, Lisa, (James) Hayes, Glyndle Lents, Jr., and Angela (Shane) Pierce; her 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Lilly was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters
