Linda C. Pociask Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coloma – Linda C. Pociask, 59, of Coloma, lost her battle against COPD late on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in Battle Creek. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 249 E. Center St., in Coloma. Burial will follow at Hagar/Lakeshore Cemetery in Hagar Township. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00, Friday evening, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.florin.net. Linda was born on September 30, 1952 in Caraway, Arkansas. She was one of five children born to Raymond and Florence Van Horn. On February 4, 1972, she married the ‘love of her life,’ Duane Pociask. Together they had two daughters, Melissa and Debra. Linda will be remembered as always being a hard worker, being a loving mother, a devoted wife, and an affectionate “Maw Maw” to her precious grandsons whom she referred to as ‘Bug’ and ‘Squirrel.’ “Linda was the ‘glue’ that held her family together.” She worked for the Heath Company and most recently for Mid-West Timer. Linda had a great sense of humor and loved animals. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Duane; daughters, Melissa Pociask of White Pigeon, Michigan and Debra (Kenneth) Stroud of Coloma; grandsons, Anthony and Tyler Stroud; brothers, Verlin Van Horn of Coloma and Herman (Eunice) Van Horn of Millburg; sister, Darlene Diehl of Watervliet; brother-in-law, Charles (Carol) Pociask of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Frank) DeSantos of Benton Harbor, Maxine Pociask of Watervliet, Sharon Pemberton of South Haven, and Beverly Pociask of South Haven; and by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Van Horn.
