    Lola Mae Barr

    January 4, 1944 - March 20, 2012

Lola Mae Barr, 67, of Hartford, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 20, 2012, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. The Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, in Coloma, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Burial will be private. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.florin.net. Lola was born on January 4, 1944, in Truman, Arkansas to Dill and Elsie Hammons. She enjoyed going to the casino, was an avid BINGO player, and playing cards – particularly the game ‘Phase 10.’ Lola also enjoyed going to yard sales. She hade a “heart of gold and would do anything for anybody” and she “never met a stranger.” Most of all, Lola will be remembered for her love of family and particularly enjoyed family gatherings. Special thanks to Roy Nichols for all his help and guidance. Lola is survived by her children, Tony Bailey of Springdale, Arkansas, Robert Bailey of Arcadia, Florida, Melissa Jackson of Springdale, Arkansas, Sherry Coburn of Hartford, Darren (Julie) Bailey of Monticello, Arkansas, Mary (Roy Nichols) Bailey of Covington, Georgia, and Kimberly Bailey of Paw Paw; grandchildren, Jennifer, Terry, Cody, Sabrina, Jonathan, Misty, April, Rebecca, Amber, Vachary, and Dustin; one great-grandchild, Kardee; her siblings, Shirley (Jewell) Mann of Hartford, Danny (Judy) Hammons of Bangor, Troy (Estell) Hammons of Watervliet, Reba Daisy of Watervliet, and Bob (Diane) Wayne of California, Bobbie Mills of Tennessee, John Hammons of South Bend, Indiana and Noma Kring of Michigan City, Indiana; and by her best friend, Jackie Cardwell.
