Lorraine A. Deja Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lorraine A. Deja, 91, of Lincoln Township died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Eaton County Care Facility in Charlotte, Michigan. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 10 AM on Monday, February 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2 PM to 5 PM on Sunday at the Dey-Florin Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in St. Joseph where a Prayer Service will be held at 4 PM. Memorials may be made to Lake Michigan Catholic Schools. Lorraine was born on July 24, 1921 in Lincoln Township to Rush and Marie Scott. She married her husband, Andrew Deja, in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 2005. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage. She was a hardworking housewife and farmer on the family farm. Lorraine was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and active in the women’s group over the years. She enjoyed playing the organ, reading, baking and gardening. She is survived by her children, Catherine (William) O’Brien of Charlotte, Betty (David) Thibodeau of Springfield, Virginia, Raymond (Sharon) Deja of St. Joseph and Paul (Barbara) Deja of St. Joseph; her sister, Bernice Pagel, her 13 grandchildren, Chad Deja, Kevin Deja, Michael O’Brien, John Deja, Joseph, Thibodeau, David Thibodeau, Amanda Wildern, Beth Deja, Erin Twizell, Amy Chambers, Tony Thibodeau, John Thibodeau, Michele Sanchez and 27 great grandchildren.
