Mary Elyn Krager, 91, of Sedona, AZ died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her home. Mark A. Krager, 63, of Royalton Township died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his home. Combined Services celebrating their lives will be held at 1 PM on Friday, June 11, at the Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Lincoln Township. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are by the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township. Please share messages or memories at www.florin.net. Mary Elyn was born on July 9, 1929 in Spokane, WA to Edwin and Esther Rettig. She married her husband, Gerald Krager, and he preceded her in death in 1997. Together they celebrated 46 years of marriage. She was an elementary school teacher at Hollywood School for the Lakeshore Public School for 24 years and retired in 1985. She was an active member and Past President both here and in Sedona of the P.E.O. which is a philanthropic educational organization. Mary Elyn was also a member of the First Church of the Christ, Scientist and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an active community participant in many different organizations over the years. Mary Elyn enjoyed reading and being creative with various art mediums. She had a loving, caring, and kind personality and was the “sweetest” person ever. Her family includes her children, Esther (Brian) Krager-Bolling of Manhattan Beach, CA and Ed (Judi) Krager of Stevensville. Mark was born on May 13, 1957 in St. Joseph to Gerald and Mary Elyn Krager. He graduated from SW Michigan College with an Associate Degree. Mark married his wife, Jamie, and together they have celebrated 20 years of marriage. He was an assistant coach for football for several years at Lakeshore High School. Mark enjoyed gardening, watching birds and collecting things. He was a member of the Lake Shore Masonic Lodge # 298 and a Past Master of the Lodge. Over the years he was active in the Blossomtime Festival and the Parade. Mark was an outgoing and friendly individual who enjoyed working with others. He had a loving nature and was thoughtful of everyone. His family includes his wife, Jamie; his children, Melissa (Matthew) Chesney of Midland, Aaron (Keri) Krager of Melbourne, FL, Dustin Krager of Stevensville, Hannah (Noah Wilcox) Krager of Berrien Center, and Kyle (Alexandra Smith) Krager of Berrien Springs; his sister, Esther (Brian) Krager-Bolling of Manhattan Beach, CA; his brother, Ed (Judi) Krager of Stevensville and 5 grandchildren.
