Mary E. Sisk, 86, of Benton Harbor, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in Alabaster, Alabama. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 249 E. Center St, Coloma, with Pastor Scott Saylor officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet Township. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Davidson Chapel. Mary was born March 25, 1929 in Judsonia, Arkansas to Frank and Sarah (Simpson) Ferren. She attended the Watervliet Community General Baptist Church and was active in many areas there over the years, including the Ladies’ Aid Group and church treasurer. From 1981-1984, she served as a missionary in Arizona on an Indian reservation. She was a “jack of all trades” and enjoyed crafts, but mostly she was devoted to her family. Mary is survived by her sons: Guy (Cathy) Sliter of Marina, California, Terry (Belinda) Sliter of Maylene, Alabama, and Brian (Betty) Sliter of Coloma; step-son, Jerry Sisk of Benton Harbor; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Sliter and Glen Sisk; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
