Millie E. Duering, 97, formerly of Coloma, passed away Friday evening, February 22, at Serenity House in South Haven. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 11 at the Coloma FOP Lodge 147, 3470 Angling Rd., Coloma. Burial will be private at a later date in Galien, Mich. The arrangements have been handled by the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.florin.net. Millie was born August 9, 1915 in Chicago. She was one of three daughters born to Paul and Anna Freyanek. Millie married William Duering and had two children, Wayne and Marilyn. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Coloma. Millie and her husband enjoyed traveling – particularly in their camper. She also enjoyed gardening. Millie will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Millie is survived by her children, Wayne (Roza Lee) Duering and Marilyn (Douglas) Osgood both of Coloma; three grandchildren, Susan, Michaela, and Nichola; and by three great-grandchildren, Ben, Breanna, and Caden. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband, William and by her two sisters, Betty and Ann.
