Rachel E. Hagood Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Riverside – Rachel E. Hagood, 81, of Riverside, passed away late on Tuesday, February 7, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 10, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 249 E. Center Street, in Coloma, with Rev. Billy Long officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeshore Hagar Cemetery in Hagar Shores. Visitation will be held this evening, Thursday, from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.florin.net. Rachel was born on April 24, 1930, in Minor Hill, Tennessee. She married Sherman Hagood and together had five children. Rachel worked at Coloma Frozen Foods in Coloma for over 10 years. She was a ‘hard worker’ who also kept a clean house. Rachel enjoyed going to the casino. Most of all, Rachel will be remembered as loving and sweet person who loved her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Additionally, she “was always willing to give good advice.” Rachel is survived by her children, James (Sandy) Hagood of Grove City, Ohio, Lewis (Diane) Hagood of Marietta, Georgia, Robert Hagood of Nashville, Tennessee, Mary Edith James of Riverside, Shirley Hagood of Watervliet, and Brian (Angel) Hagood of Holland; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman in 1997 and by her grandson, David Duane James in 1986.
