Robert A. Dill, 75, of Coloma died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Lincoln Township. Services celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, Feb 20, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Coloma. Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM on Thursday at the Davidson Chapel. Memorials may be made to the North Berrien Historical Society. Please share messages, memories or photos at www.florin.net. Bob was born on Oct 24, 1939 in Benton Harbor to Rheinhold and Olga Dill. He married his wife, Evelyn Sims and she preceded him in death in 1992. Together they celebrated over 30 years of marriage. Bob was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed at Benton Harbor Engineering for over 25 years and at Midwest Timer for several years before retiring. He was a longtime member and Past President of the SW MI Car Collectors Association. Bob was also involved with the Glad-Peach Festival and the North Berrien Historical Society. He enjoyed coin collecting, fishing and building models. Bob was a jokester and was sometimes called the “Whirlpool Agitator” fondly by his family. He loved his family and loved being a grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Terri (Ken) Craft of Berrien Springs and Tammy (Bobby) Warren of Coloma; his sister, Bonnie (Jim) Joiner of Benton Harbor; his 5 grandchildren, Cody, Ellie, Kacy, Jesse, and Cameron and his great grandson, Colton. Bob was also preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Al, Rich, and Ed.
