Ruthe L. Bomberger, 89, died January 2, 2015 in Fayetteville, PA. Services will be held at the Stevensville United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, with calling one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Hickory Bluff Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Stevensville United Methodist Church Education Fund or the Lincoln Township Public Library Endowment. Born on June 22, 1925 in Lebanon, PA, Ruthe married Abraham “Bud” Bomberger in September 1942. After Bud completed his service overseas during World War II, they moved to Chicago, Illinois and then to Stevensville, Michigan. For many years, Ruthe served as a librarian at Lincoln Township Public Library. She also provided many years of service to the Stevensville United Methodist Church as both the Christian Education Coordinator and Church Librarian. Ruthe was proud of her work in Co-publishing Marketplace 29 A.D., a highly praised vacation bible school curriculum used throughout the country. In her leisure time, Ruthe enjoyed reading, as well as cooking and crocheting for family and friends. Ruthe is survived by her sons Mark (Tammy), Jon (Kathryn Roudebush), and Christopher (Valerie); along with granddaughter Sarah Bomberger Comfort (Jason); two great-grandchildren (Katie Comfort and Eli Comfort); and siblings Donald Hedricks, Ethel (Ralph) Winters and Virginia (Edward) Kolle. She was preceded in death by son Dale Bomberger, husband Abraham “Bud” Bomberger, and sister, Marilyn Manz.
