Virginia “Ginny” Woodley, 94, of Benton Harbor, died early Tuesday morning, January 3, 2017 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 10 AM on Sat, Jan. 7, St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Benton Harbor. The visitation will be from 9 AM to service time on Saturday at St. Bernard’s. Cremation will follow the service and burial of the ashes will be at Calvary Cemetery next to her husband. Arrangements are by the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Harbor. Memorials may be made to the SS. John & Bernard Parish. Please share memories, messages or photos at www.florin.net. Ginny was born in Benton Harbor on Oct. 5, 1922 to Stanley and Bernice Rogalski. She married her first husband, Marvin Arntz, and he died in WWII. She then married, George Woodley, and he preceded her in death in 1996. Ginny was a member of the SS. John & Bernard Parish. She enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden and then cooking them for her family. Ginny was a caring person and always willing to help her relatives and friends. Ginny’s family includes her son, Robert Woodley of Benton Harbor; her sister, Lillian Barchalk of St. Joseph; her brother, Max Rogalski of Sodus and numerous nieces and nephews. Especially helpful and supportive in her final days were Lillian’s daughters, Karen, Mikelene, Lori and Judy and Max’s daughter, Janet. All of whom brought her great peace and comfort. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Chester and James Rogalski.
