David "Clint" Imler

David "Clint" Imler, 68, of Watervliet, died Tuesday, March 31, 2026, surrounded by his family. Celebration of Life for Clint will be at Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral and Cremation Service in Benton Township on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Brian Fee Officiating. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service. Burial will be in Coloma Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Please share messages or memories at www.florin.net. Clint was born on February 25, 1958, to Delmar “Joe” Imler and Della “Rosie” Imler in Monette, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Watervliet High School in 1976 and married the love of his life Ava, a few months later. Together they celebrated almost 42 years of marriage, until her death in 2018. During his early years of marriage, he was a general contractor in construction with his Dad and brother. He never missed a chance to say “I built that” or “I put that roof on” when passing a house he worked on. He loved fishing with his Dad and brother and hunting with his son when he became a father. Clint was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He loved talking about baseball and especially loved having a good debate on why the Cardinals were better than the Cubs. In the late 90s, he prided himself on the fact that he got a degree from an online school and started a small business building computers. He enjoyed being with his family and loved his two boxers, Fred and Barney. Not only will he be missed by many, but the stories he loved to tell will be a cherished memory. Clint is survived by his son, Ryan (Heather) Imler of Coloma, his daughter, Jessica (John) Wheeler of Watervliet, his sisters, Didi (Gerry) Scheuchner of Trenton, IL., Donna (Evans) Costner of Benton Harbor and Amanda (Jimmy) Ratliff of Kansas City, MO., and his brother, Michael (Ginger) Imler Sr. of Buckeye AZ., his grandchildren, Keegen, Marshall, Taylor, Shelby, and Kennedy, his great grandchildren Billy-Parker, and Steven-Ryan and his step-mother, Donna Imler. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Ava (Fee) Imler, his mother, Della Rosetta Imler, his father, Delmar Imler, and his sister, Diana Imler and Pat Dixon (Grandma Pat).
