Mae Aliene Wilson, 95, entered into the presence of her Savior, Jesus Crist, on July 18, 2026. Services celebrating her life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 25 at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Hans Frank officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 25. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Blue Roof Church. Please leave messages or memories at www.florin.net Born on May 1, 1931, Mae lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humble service, and deep love for her family. Her relationship with Jesus was the foundation of her life, and she faithfully served Him through her church for many decades. One of her greatest joys was teaching Sunday School, where she faithfully invested in the lives of children for over 40 years. She loved her church family and considered it a privilege to share God’s Word with generation after generation. Mae had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved, whether she was baking, sewing, crocheting, or simply opening her home, she found joy in caring for others. She loved baking homemade bread, pies, cookies, and countless other treats, that became her treasured family traditions. Her children fondly remember arriving home from school to find warm homemade bread and a stick of butter waiting on the table. She was also an incredibly talented seamstress. One daughter recalled choosing a dress from a catalog, after which Mae would carefully take measurements, spread newspaper across the table to create a pattern, and lovingly sew a beautiful dress by hand. Her creativity and attention to detail blessed her family for many years. Her baking became legendary among her children and grandchildren. One son often jokes that when his own children asked why he never baked pies he would tell them “Why should I make a pie? All if have to do is make one phone call, and by the end of the day, I can pick one up at mom’s?” Mae’s love continues to live on through the recipes she carefully preserved. Many of them were handwritten on simple notebook paper and have been passed down through children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Today, those handwritten recipes remain cherished family treasures, connecting generations through meals and desserts she lovingly prepared. She also enjoyed reading, and playing games with family, creating countless memories that will be treasured for years to come. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her five brothers, and her two sisters. She is lovingly survived by her five children; Wanda Rothwell of Minnetonka, MN., Charles Wilson of Jacksboro, TN., Glen Wilson of Benton Harbor, Bruce (Norma) Wilson of Arlington, TX., and Mary (Dale) Erny of Benton Harbor. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, her prayers, and her example of Christian living. Mae’s greatest legacy was not the simple things she made, but the faith she lived. Through decades of serving Christ, loving her family, and faithfully caring for others, she demonstrated what a life devoted to Jesus looks like. Her family rejoices in the promise she is now Home with the Lord she loved faithfully and served, and they look forward to the day they will be reunited with her in His presence.
